Himmel by Tobias Post – Objects fall out of the depth of space
Tobias Post · Himmel · Digital real-time graphics · 2026

Each object has its own depth, size and speed. A slight hovering and a gently swaying camera make the space tangible.

Only the objects at the front respond: when touched they leap up, hover briefly and explode into colour powder.

“Himmel” is part of the Farbexplosion series and can be experienced at the Ferromone family festival “Farbexplosion” at the Westfälische Salzwelten, Bad Sassendorf – on Saturday, 17 October 2026, 6 to 10 pm.

Placement in the post-digital model of positing

Himmel does without any grid: the order lies in the building blocks alone, clearly formed and staggered by depth. When one is touched it leaps, hovers and dissolves into colour powder – the form breaks up into a cloud without contour that fills the open space and remains representational within it.
