Linien

Lines run across and lengthwise with right-angled offsets; stops lie at the crossings. Planes at the back are finer and paler and move against the camera, which gives the map depth.

The building blocks brake at stops, change to crossing lines and turn back at the edge of the image. Touches make them dissolve into colour powder.

“Linien” is part of the Farbexplosion series and can be experienced at the Ferromone family festival “Farbexplosion” at the Westfälische Salzwelten, Bad Sassendorf – on Saturday, 17 October 2026, 6 to 10 pm.

Placement in the post-digital model of positing

A transit map is the purest form of posited order: lines, right-angled offsets, stops at the crossings, journeys by rule. The explosion into colour powder breaks out of this map – a cloud without line and without stop, informal, but still representational as volume in space.
