From 2 × 2 to 6 × 4 and as a mosaic with large hero cells: the boxes breathe as a wave, spring on contact and nudge their neighbours.

A touch speeds up the building block's animation and makes it dissolve into colour powder. The camera moves freely across the grid.

“Raster” is part of the Farbexplosion series and can be experienced at the Ferromone family festival “Farbexplosion” at the Westfälische Salzwelten, Bad Sassendorf – on Saturday, 17 October 2026, 6 to 10 pm.

Placement in the post-digital model of positing

The grid exhibits each building block on its own – cell by cell, as a clearly outlined object in a concrete order. That is precisely what makes the change visible: after the touch, colour powder without contour fills the cell and beyond it; the object loses its boundary, but not its space.
