Art World Water – Quallenvorhang
Through curtains of glowing tentacles
Document 2026.11.011 · CC BY-NC-ND 4.0
Art World Water is a flight through an endless sea of light. From above, shafts of light fall through a drifting ceiling of kelp and seagrass, long trailing plants hang against the light, and on the seabed nets of light wander across sand dunes made of columns. The highlight is the jellyfish: seven species that pulse, swim and drift through the picture with long glowing tentacles – curtains of light that part in front of the camera and close again behind it.
In the midst of it all stand the artworks: sculptures of the Sculpt series as gates the flight passes through, on reefs made of their own building blocks, half sunk in the sand and floating among the swarms of jellyfish. Everything is created in real time – jellyfish, plants, plankton and light move by their own rules, and no image ever repeats.
