Auffahrt

At the front run a few strong tubes, behind them finer ones. The ride goes steadily upward, the building blocks come towards you. The camera follows the front tube and leans into its bends.

The scene is deliberately linear and uncluttered. Building blocks that are touched explode into colour powder that spreads out into the depth.

“Auffahrt” is part of the Farbexplosion series and can be experienced at the Ferromone family festival “Farbexplosion” at the Westfälische Salzwelten, Bad Sassendorf – on Saturday, 17 October 2026, 6 to 10 pm.

Placement in the post-digital model of positing

Auffahrt is deliberately posited as linear – vertical tubes, oncoming building blocks, a camera that follows the bend. This makes the change all the clearer: a building block that is touched turns from a mathematically determined form into a cloud without contour, which nevertheless takes up space in the depth and so remains representational.
