Regen

The columns run on several depth planes, with gusts and a swaying camera. The trails carry the colour of their head or a shared hue.

Only some of the streams respond, so that the scene stays legible. Heads that are touched explode into colour powder and draw the streams towards the visitor.

“Regen” is part of the Farbexplosion series and can be experienced at the Ferromone family festival “Farbexplosion” at the Westfälische Salzwelten, Bad Sassendorf – on Saturday, 17 October 2026, 6 to 10 pm.

Placement in the post-digital model of positing

The streams follow a clear rule: head first, trail behind, vertical in a steady fall – a concrete, sign-like order. If the touch hits a head, it breaks apart into colour powder that no longer falls but spreads out: without contour, informal and yet representational as space.
