Röhren

The tubes lie one behind another on several planes and move at different speeds, which creates spatial depth. Building blocks ride along on the front tubes.

A touch sends a pulse of light through the conduit and makes the building blocks dissolve into colour powder. The camera tilts and zooms but stays in the direction of flight.

“Röhren” is part of the Farbexplosion series and can be experienced at the Ferromone family festival “Farbexplosion” at the Westfälische Salzwelten, Bad Sassendorf – on Saturday, 17 October 2026, 6 to 10 pm.

Placement in the post-digital model of positing

Tubes bent at right angles on several depth planes form a constructed, concrete order in which the building blocks have their fixed place. The pulse of light from the touch turns them into colour powder that leaves the conduits: without contour and free, but still representational as space.
