Light Art and Exhibitions in Dortmund

Three works of digital light art among the historic compressors of the Kokerei Hansa: for “Giganten & Kunst”, Tobias Post developed the group of works BRUTAL VERDREHT, which takes up the rotation, compression and flow of the machines. At the same time, he was part of the exhibition’s curatorial team together with Sandra Tusch-Dünnebacke and Cornelia Regelsberger.

At the Künstlerhaus Dortmund, the immersive installation DORNENSTAUB ran across three rooms, with projectors from the KoproduktionsLabor of the Dortmunder U. The film about the engine room of immersive art was made at the open studio show in the Dortmunder U: five projectors, two graphics cards.

The paintings were shown at sites of harbour and industrial culture – IKARUS WILL NICHT BRENNEN in the Hoesch-Gasometer and the Projektspeicher, VERLUST in the Tyde beneath the Old Harbour Office. For the International Garden Exhibition 2027, Tobias Post leads the exhibition team of BBK Westfalen in Dortmund.
