Immersive Light Art in Essen

Rotating elements move in the background and together form a clockwork: with the immersive work UHRWERK, Tobias Post was represented in September 2026 in “Zeit fließt – Was war? Was bleibt? Was kommt?” (Time flows – What was? What remains? What comes?), the anniversary exhibition marking 70 years of the Werkkreis Bildender Künstler at the Forum Kunst & Architektur on Kopstadtplatz.

UHRWERK borrows from BRUTAL VERDREHT, the works for the compressor hall of the Kokerei Hansa in Dortmund, and carries the rotation into a new context: within the theme of the exhibition, it becomes an image of time. There, 44 artists of the WBK showed classical techniques alongside digital and experimental ones.
