Digital Light Art and Interactive Light Installations

Tobias Post develops digital light art for spaces: images computed in real time that respond to the movement of visitors. At the Westfälische Salzwelten, crystals grow out of the floor and retreat wherever someone walks past; a touch dissolves set orders into clouds of coloured powder.

Each work is built for its site. Walls, floors and ceilings are played as separate image surfaces and fitted to the architecture, including with several projectors. The works have been shown at the Künstlerhaus Dortmund, the Kokerei Hansa, the Kunstverein Duisburg, the Forum Kunst & Architektur Essen and in church spaces, among others.
